13 Feb SUP pure at the Mercedes-Benz SUP World Cup 2018
Long Distance, Sprint Distance, Euro Tour, Kids Race, “Jedermann-Rennen” and much more. At the third edition of the Mercedes-Benz SUP World Cup we can present you three day of pure sportive action.
On Friday we will start our Charity Race. VIP and professional Stand Up Paddler will compete in a 4×250 meter relay race. The winner team will get a check over 3.000€ for the purpose. For example in the last year, the money the money goes to the WhiteIT e.V. An organization which regards to the prevention of violence against children. Beside the VIPs and the SUP pros, we will welcome another group of participants. Be prepared for more Updates in the next weeks.
On Saturday it’s going to be a high class and the best Stand Up Paddlers will join the competition. Stars like Connor Baxter, Caspar Steinfath or Zane Schweitzer will fight for important ranking points for the Euro Tour and a prize money of 25.000 US$. In the afternoon, the athletes will compete in the discipline sprint distance and fight for ranking points in the German SUP Challenge and the SUP League. In the “Jedermann-Rennen” over a distance of six kilometers on Sunday, they can also collect ranking points for both tournaments.
Even if the Stand Up Paddling is more an individual sport – in the team race on Saturday, teamwork is the key to success. Groups of four people can join forces to fight for the win. The perfect competition for companies, clubs or other kind of groups.
Also on Sunday, the SUP trainees will have their own competition. Children and young people between 8-14 years have to pass a distance of one kilometer.
